Any "Home brewers" on the forum?

Post by swifty »

I recently started brewing my own beer after I did a morning class at the Beer Lab in Cape Town. My first effort (American Pale Ale) came out very nice. At this moment I have 18 liters Sweet Stout in the fermenter and will bottle next weekend. It will go down well in the cold Sutherland!

Any fellow brewers out there?

:drinks: :drinks: :drinks:

Hi Gerhard.
Where did you get that barrels.

Hennie, try phoning around to the various SAB depots or other smaller brewing establishments - sometimes they end up with a busted keg or different brand keg they can't use.

What are you using for fermentation? Also how are you monitoring your temperatures on the top keg?
Can you reach in or do you have to use a stool or ladder?
