I hope someone can help with this. My Hilux (1995 SFA - 22R 4x4) cuts out when I am driving. No revs, does not stutter, just nothing. Then it starts again while driving with me not doing anything, or I stop and start the car and the engine starts and we continue. I have replaced the fuel pump but still the same problem.

Sounds electrical - maybe a bad connection from the coil to the dizzy.
Do the dash lights also give up at the same time?

That does indeed sounds like something electrical.
Ideas: loose/bad ground wire, fusebox issue, dirty connection with intermittent contact
