My Toyota fortuner d4d 3L wipers not setting off if I plug it out at motor it stops if I switch vehicle off it stops but when I switch plug back and drive wipers goes on and does not stop please help me

Hi all my first time posting
My Toyota fortuner d4d 3L wipers not setting off if I plug it out at motor it stops if I switch vehicle off it stops but when I switch plug back and drive wipers goes on and does not stop please help me

The wiper motor relay could be shorted. I would test that relay first.
