2020 gd-6 2.4 DC auto 4x4 poor fuel consumption

Post by Antonrk »

Hi , I 2020 gd-6 2.4 DC auto 4x4, snorkel , metal canopy , lift suspension, 265/70/17 tyres, has poor fuel consumption, between 12.8 - 14.3 litres per hundred Kms . I had stage 1 and gearbox calibration, erg electronic blank off, done but consumption stays high, have to say much more drivable than standard , mostly town driving , but similar on 200km round trip , is this normal?

Jip, jou ekstras gee jou pak.
Snorkel -1km/l
Lift -1km/l
Groter bande -1km/l

I have the 2016 SR model that comes standard with 225/70/17 steelies.

previous owner put on mags with 265/70/17 . I soon change to a more standard 265/65/17. Within like a month. But i do know over on 4x4community, they said that actually big difference.

I have alu canopy, 2inch lift, offroad bumper. Was doing 100-120 mostly. With one afternoon of easy offroading (4L + 4H).
Filled up on the way back and got about 9lt per 100km.

As far as i know, not remap, EGR still in place. So i can only think it's the bigger tyres.
