sodra Boetie in Langebaan aankom. Dit sal seker so teen 13:30 of 14:00 wees, dis die vroegste wat ek kan wegkom.

Re: Crayfish weekend: Trekoskraal Westcoast
The weekend was great. It was a bit rainy on both mornings, but nothing serious.
I did not take any pictures but I am sure the others will post pictures once they arrived home.
I only went there on Friday night and i missed the whole show. Niel pitched the trailer's tent for the first time and he had to get 6 people to help him to do the 30 second job.
On Saturday morning Johannes vannie See and myself went out to sea with Johannes' Kreef bakkie.
We had a successful catch end collected enough Crayfish for everybody with permits, so we ended up with 20 red ones.
Niel's dad showed us the proper way to cook the Crayfish in a 3 poot pot on the fire. I was surprised to see how many people did not eat Crayfish, but I did not complain because then there were more for us.
All in all it as a nice crowd, and wonderful weekend.
Thanks for everybody who was here.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the attendees – no matter how long you visited for a great weekend.
As” tee-siffie Pretorius” indicated, the weather was a bit off to say the least, :wth: but we had fun none the less.
I would like to thank a few people for their contribution to the communal well being:
Johannes van die See (Johan), for offering and skippering Geelbek to get us the red ones ja and for his appy “tee-sif Pretorius “ . Secondly for assisting in pitching my “the house” on its virgin outing .
Truckin (aka Boetie/Juan), for the wood for the weekend – and yes we did finish the 150 original pieces on Friday evening/Saturday morning around 02:30. Secondly, for supervising Johan when I was not looking.
Lastly a big thank you for all the supporting actors that drove from far and near to visit a big thanks for taking the time out too join in the fun.
The following people attended (no individual pictures with names to protect the innocent)
In arrival order:
Johannes van die see and JJ,
Truckin,
Polarbear2008.
Tee-siffie Pretorius and the boss, Elmi,
Andrew and Lindy Harper and kids,
Stubs5536 and Erica and the four legged 2,
Fransdw2002,
Willem (and his reversing Nissan Patrol)
Then for the day-visitor
Tee-siffie Pretorius,
Boeta,
Francois/Maverick (Stubs just for you)
Mir (not the way you think stubs) ek hoop “daai stoel” is vir altyd weg.- soon to be a new member

Andy, we will have to start a special Christmas fund to buy Niel a strainer. Shame, poor guy, he is not use to things like a tea strainer. So he became green of jealously and started to pretend that it is very abnormal to have atea strainer in your kitchen. It was just one too much for the poor bloke.

Re: Crayfish weekend: Trekoskraal Westcoast
If you buy tea bags, you have to be satisfied with what they put in there. If you want to blend your own teas, then you're going to need a strainer. We're not tea connoisseurs, Sher & the kids enjoy it but I hardly touch the stuff. We have a couple of tea strainers in the house though, one of which really comes in handy for a whole host of different functions, the most common of which is straining the debris out of cooking oil after use. So, I'm in favour of tea strainers, even though I might not be as sophisticated as Pieter.

Hi guys.
Sorry for the gross subject but I post this as a warning to all parents whom had children at Trekoskraal this past weekend,
this could also be relevant too yourselves.
I just discovered this ugly little blik.sem on my foot and if left long enough or removed the wrong way it could cause illness.
Please make sure to double check your children and yourselves for any ticks.
Cheers

KREEF NAWEEK 22-25 APRIL

I'm thinking maybe staying at home but take my little kreef boat out every day do go net some red ones.
I'll check with Bianca, that weekend could be the perfect opportunity for you and Erika to come visit us then
you can be my gilli as Pieter will be gone for the weekend, hehe.
Howz that for a plan? Let me just check with my second first.
Cheers bud!

Ja Soutie, you will like the boat experience.
My parents are moving from De Aar to Montagu on 20 April so I have to go and help them.
This is a real big disappointment as I was looking forward to this last red weekend for the year.
