Welcome Chris! Your Hilux looks awesome!
When you do the camper conversion, please remember to post pics. As I said, many of us cannot read nor write, but we all know how to admire pictures of Hiluxes and their conversions into Power Machines! ;)

Welcome Chris. I don't know what you envisage as a camper van, but I'm already anxious that you don't spoil what is already a beautifully neat and clean Hilux. Looks like it's just out of the box!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: New Hilux owner
Thanks for all the wlcome wishes.
The camper plan includes a 2nd battery in the engine compartment (expect a few enquiries in this regard). All of the other work is to happen inside the canopy. I want to see if I can get away without a roof rack, to keep the "clean look". Come to think of it - need something to keep the stones kicked up by the front wheels from chiping the side of the vehicle, possibly rock sliders. I need a towbar, but want to get something which incorporates recovery points. Definately a bash plate, possibly a bumper with winch a bit later .....
Mud Dog, JIP, she only had 250km on the clock when I took that pic. :)
BUT, currently busy extending the garage. None of this will happen untill I can work in the garage. Promise to take many pics as the project unfolds.

Re: New Hilux owner
Now that you clarify you're gonna build something into the canopy, it sounds much better. I was having visions of a caravan type load body replacement! In that case I doubt you'll get away without a roof carrier unless you make use of a trailer.
