Hello Louw.. Ons kom by hek 1 (die ene waar ons tyres afgeblaas het) sodat ons so 8uur se kan kan ingaan, voor die wind opkom. Dis sand gaan lekkerrrrrrr droog en sag wees.

No I will be coming from Malmesbury....I will take the N7 south and then turn off and take the philadelphia road, brakkefontein road across to the R27 then off at Dassenberg road..then look for parked up Hiluxes

Hoooorrrahhhh...my van is back from Hoppy's...lekker new torque rod, steering arm, axle moved forward and spanking new Aluminium Radiator....I think the torque rod was made for a 747 - it looks that tough... but I aint complaining...excellent work Allen - thanks....stand by the dunes tomorrow !!!

Okay gepraat van die braai, julle ouens was maar baie stil oor die braai. So ja die wat wil braai ons maak so. Is daar braai geriewe of moet ons 'n drom vat?

Ons maak sommer vuur op die grond en sit die rooster op jacks, met 'n hi-lift kan 'n ou nogal 'n lekker groot vuur maak.......

Het jy nie gehoor dat daar iets soos 30 LD's more daar gaan wees nie, en ons hilux ouens wil moes wys ons is goeie ouens - so die Hi-Lift jack moet saam.

Dankie aan almal wat gister gaan speel het - dit was flippen lekker!!!!!! 6 of us set of this morning with Thys in Kaspaas and Dino in the Disco leading the pack. Then Louw with his KZ, Piesang with the 2.7 SRX and myself and Stubs bringing up the rear with our stock standard 4Y's! So we set off just after 8 and very soon it was training time - golden rule with a 4Y - keep the revs high and get a bit of momentum. And when it screams like a pig then you know you can conquer that obstacle!!!! very soon we were all going at it and really enjoying the powder sand, steep drop offs and even steeper climbs.

After having a nice braai it was back to the gate, with Thys and Dino giving us mere mortals a challenge or 2!

Thanks again Piesang for organising and for some nice training tips Dino and Thys. Nam here I come!!!!

Thanks guys it was a lot of fun. Thanks Dino, Van and the others for the assistance with the electrical gremlin, it seems like the starter on Kaspaas has gone completely now, now I have to crank it manually to get him going. We made it home in one piece, giving a few Citi Golfs a good run for their money up Tygerberg hill. Hy's stukkend,maar hy skop nog steeds gat)

Stu and Van, you guys did great, now you know what the red on the rev counter is for... Dune Riding..

Pret met `n hoofletter P!!!!!! Kyk, nou weet ek dat as ek `n duin sien, trap die bakkie dat die enjin soos `n maar vark skree en dan weet jy jy gaan dit oor die duin maak!

Thanks to one and all, lekker to meet new members of the club...Dr V...yes our trusty stock 4Y's...we did OK. !! albeit under the guidance of Dino and Thys (Thanks guys !!)....was great fun, once again learnt alot, had the girls screaming in my truck and it wasnt from anything I was doing ....just the route Thys and Dino made us take !!!!! brilliant.....Erika's friend ilze has some fantastic pics will post once she gets back to Jo'burg !!! Nice one Piesang, great suggestion for one last get together before the new year !!!!!.....as for Dino's V8...well the sound....!! magical....Thys glad you got home safe after your engine probs.....

Dankie ouens dit was regtig 'n baie lekker dag. Thys en Dino dankie vir die voortou neem en Thys daai foto van my met die voorwiele in die lug is al klaar op my selfoon as desktop gesit.

Na jul weg is en ek terug na die groot duin by die ouens met die Qwats het ek nog al baie geleer deur op my eiepas teen daai duin tespeel :gamer: :gamer: :gamer: :gamer: :gamer: .Het hom verskullende plekke en veral waar daar nognie ander spore is nie uit gery en my 4x4 regtig beproef.

En ja nadat ek hom so goed en baie op sy lemeter gery het, lyk dit my sy brandstof verbruik is ook sommer beter.
