Bande - Mud vs All Terrain

Post by louis fourie »

Vergeet van enige logika, i.e 50% off-road ens.

hoeveel met All Terrains?????

In VSA waarborg hulle die AT vir 100K.

BF muds, seker so 70 - 80k km

My Duelers gaan dalk 60k maak as ek gelukkig is  :o:

Simple answer ...... Traction is everything ..... where do you want it, (and what are you willing to compromise to get it).
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Amen.....

I haven't noticed any problems with Cooper STT mud tyres on a wet road... but then we don't get that much rain here. Today was the exception, however. It hosed!

Mark ,with all that weight you driving around,no tyre will stop your van  Just joking
Did all your wheel lock?If only at the back, you will have to reset your rear brakes. When you brake, all the weight tranfers to the front and there will be no tracktion on the rear tyres.

The first thing I do when I put a new set of tyres that is not exactly the same as the ones I had on, I test them. I give them their 400km or so run in period and then I find a nice quite road and do a few emergency stops trying not to lock them up. I do the same test again once the roads are wet. This way I know more or less what the limits of traction on the tyres are.

I must add that I am impressed with the Maxxis grip in the wet.
