Diesel > Best Prices in Cpt N Subs?

Hi All

Where in the Northen Suberbs do you guys buy your diesel from?
Who has the best price on 50ppm/low sulphar diesel in the area?

Well a good question always is who stocks the 50ppm. Shell always has good prices on their Diesel, but they dont have the 50ppm?

So far I have found BP to be the best option on my routes. BP Kenridge and BP Kraaifontein (R9.44/l)

for convenience sake I mostly fill up at Engen Winelands ... no idea how its price relates to the others though .....

Would be interesting to see if somebody can give us some details ....

So far Engen (the 2 or 3 I have been to) has been the most expensive compared to the others with me paying R9.62 with them a few weeks ago, but Shell in Durbanville taking the cake at R9.69 about 3 weeks ago. All mentioned are for 50ppm.

Well now Diesel is clearly over R10/l. Some sad stuff right there!

I heard someone say that a garage owner in Durbanville would have said that the Durbanville residents don’t mind paying the "high prices" as the do have money and don’t complain about the price. I can only tell you what I heard and cannot say this is exactly what was said.

Well all I have to say is good luck to that owner if that is true. The specific Shell garage is in the middle of town so already not my favourite place : )

For diesel we have to shop around, the most convenient WONT be the cheapest and Shell wont see me on their forecourt for many fracking reasons, even if they are the cheapest around.

There is a diesel depot at Joostenberg Vlakte that sell to the public, and they are reallly cheap, but AFAIK they only sell 500ppm... Okay for my Ford, but not recommended for the CRD Toyotas with sensitive injector tips...

Pitty we can not contact Brent oil and set up a "diesel depo" and sell to the public

Ek weet nie so mooi van die 50ppm, waarvan julle praat nie, maar probeer die agrimark (die ou wpk) in durbanville, hulle diesel is nog al die jare die goedkoopste,

Miskien is ek net te ernstig oor die 50ppm en moet net 500ppm gooi en op hou worry? :)

50ppm is beter vir die environment, met minder emissions. dit gee ook beter performance, en brandstofverbruik... Dis duurder, maar beter. M2CW..

Just FYI, best price currently in my area is Caltex D'ville (next to hospital) selling 50ppm @ R9,75. Will have to see what happens after the next increase.

Richard, I am not sure if you can still do it but some people use to fill up at the depot there in (I think) Kraaifontein. Will see if I can find out if you can still do it

heard caltex on cnr De la rey and Reuben Kaye (ex BP) is pretty cheap???

looking for best price on diesel around CT CBD (home) or Epping (work) area.

Caltex Greenways in strand is the cheapest but just too far. they R10.47 at the moment i believe.

I have long range fuel tank... prob will fillup with 120 lts. So i need to shop around.

I know that Cavalier motors (Caltex) on the corner of Plein and Wellington rd's Durbanville drops their price by at least 25c/L from Friday evening 24h00 till Sunday evenoing 24h00... Takes a bit of planing but it's worth it
