Allow me to make a proposal here:

1 - George moves up to the confirmed drivers list, then at least we have our required 6 drivers.

2 - Two of the confirmed marshals are nominated as standby drivers with ready vehicles to cover if needed. :problem:
3 - Current confirmed marshals are thus 3 to 5, leaving us with 3+ still required. Need not be club members i suppose, but would be preferred ? :roll:

Shaun - I agree with you - Marshalls if we are tite we will have to bring in some friends. I will probably have 2 with me but abvouis we would like hilux guys there.

To all Drivers and Marshalls could we please have confirmation by 10/10/2011.

As a standby driver ... put me at the bottom of the list - but if I must, I'll do it for the club.

I will be sending out an email to all with the necessary docs that needs to be signed and faxed back to me no later that Friday as I need to submit them to the need be.

List is as follow:

I think the marshalls should also as they will be in the obstacles the whole time and they must cover there a$$ for that reason.

Sad - Truckin (boetie) just informed me that he might not beable to drive that day so we will be short one Driver - please not all together now I would just like to have two standby vehicles for the day.

Just a quick feedback of the meeting last night:

1. Clubs taking part
- Hilux
- 4x4 Cape
- 4x4 Community
- 4WDC
- CLRC
- Friday Arvie Club
- Isuzu Club
- Land Cruiser Club

2. Why Melkbos ? Apparently they complained last year that the opstacles where to easy.

3. Entrance fee covers a Meal Ticket for driver and Co

4. Gate Set up will be done on Saterday the 5th from 14h00 till 16h00 - Marshalls please take note - we can make arrangements closer to the time and maybe go through toghether instead of each one going through on there own.

5. Drivers !! -Full Recovery kit, Recovery Points, and all neccessary safety equipment, Fire Extinguisher, sparewheel, first aid kit etc.

6. Safety belts must be worn at all times - no safety belt no drive!!

7. NO Drinking and driving !!

8. Catering at reasonable prices

9. 25min to complete an gate and 5 min to get to the next gate

10. Basic Program for the day:
- 8h00 - Scrutinizing of vehicles
- 9h00 - Briefing
- 9h30 - Event starts
- Expect to complete all gates by + - 15h00
- 15h45 Price Giving

This is just a short summary of what was said in meeting - I will keep all posted as going forward.

NB - I still need t-shirt sizes from all.
