Namib desert trip - what to take??
A mate and his missus is planning a trip through the Namib(with one of the opperators) from Luderitz to Walvis.
He wants to prepare properly and have all the right toys. What would he need?
The base for the recipe is a 2010 D4D 4x4 D/cab with canopy with a newly installed long range tank, water tank and dual battery system.
Talking in the direction of a 60L Snomaster.
What else would be needed?
Tent?

If you are a diesel fan, raise your hand.
If you aren't raising your hand, raise your standards!
A 4x4 is merely a machine that enables you to get stuck further away from civilization.

Re: Namib desert trip - what to take??
Drie uitstekende maaltye word per dag bedien, dus min of geen kos. Net snacks.

Re: Namib desert trip - what to take??
OF
Raad ASB???

Many (if not most) of breakdowns on these trips are of "newly installed" devices.
Do a few weekend trips to TEST all the new stuff before heading of into the desert.
ALL you need is :
enough WATER
enough food
enough fuel
now go and ENJOY the trip
