That should tell you something about a Hilux  (let alone Toyota as a brand)

know its not the same thing, however sometimes thinsg happen for a reason!!

when i was looking to get my big bike
every body said Suzuki . . . . . . .bla bla . . . . .

so i went on their advice and wanted a Suzuki

and same thing, when I got there it was sold
looked at the grey imports, and before the containers landed the Suzukis were sold!!
remember that I knew less that i know now, so was going on other peoples advice

eventually bough a Yamaha, and have not looked back sice
better parts service, and from my experiance, better value
and have become a yammy fan. been a great bike

so sometimes its a higher power pointing you in a different dirrection!!

good luck!! :cooldude:

if you snooze you loose, for example when I see Toyota 7 series forklifts 2.5 ton machines on Gumtree going for R30 or 40 K I buy them, I do not ask around if they are worth it, I have have done my homework already knowing that just the engine alone is worth much more.

So the next time you see a bakkie going for this price, buy it, depending on if you will be paying cash for it or terms get your things in order so that you will be ready.

These forklifts that I buy, I only look at the pic's, I do not waste my time to go and have a look at them.

But you must always remember that if you think you are getting a good deal, that there might be a hidden agenda that is the reason why it is going so cheap.

Ja snooze and you loose.

let me paint another picture
when I was in the market for 4x4, I was after a hilux with a V6 already in, couz of the towing
couldn't find one
so bought a courier that was made with a V6, and have not looked back, then we added the jeep to the fleet

so will I never get a hilux? not saying that
currently am enjoying the choices that crossed my path
