New member - old Toyota fanatic

Post by P Smit »

Good day all you Toyota guys and girls

I am from Pietersburg in sunny Limpopo. I love cars and especially 4x4 Toyotas, BMW and Porsche.

I've have had the privilage of owning the following Toyotas:
My first car: 1981 1,3 L Corolla
1987 Sprinter T/cam GLi
1988 Sprinter T/cam GLi
1985 Avanté T/Cam GLi (current)
1993 Import D/C Hi-Lux 4x4, 2,4turbo Diesel
2000 Hi-Lux 2,7i, 4x4 D/C (current)
2008 Fortuner D4-D 4x4
2011 Fortuner D4-D 4x4 (current)

I also have in the garage:
Nissan 2,0 Sentra Rally car
2003 BMW 530i
2000 BMW M3
2009 BMW F800 GS m/bike
2007 Porsche GT3 RS

It is quite hectic with all the cars, but if you have more petrol than blood in the veins, and you hunt, fish, ski, race etc., you can't have just two cars.

But I have too many and would like to sell the BMW 530i and the Hi-lux, and replace them with the pre-facelift (2008-2010)
Hilux D/C D4-D 4x4. This bakkie will comfortably handle the job of the two outgoing vehicles.

I am a practicing attorney, I spcialize in motor vehicle collision related matters.

Something that might be interesting and usefull to the Forum members is that I am a forensic expert in investigation and reconstruction of motor vehicle collisions.

I have extensive experience in rallying, track racing and off-road racing.

I'm married to a beautifull petrol-head wife and have 2 great sons.

Now you know who I am!!

Let me hear from you guys

Good day Froll, I'll post a nice pick of the Porsche. What a car! Even for double the price, few can match the GT3 RS's over-all performance package of the GT3-RS.

Mud Dog, thanks a lot.

Thunder02, not yet, will be doing track days soon. I have done a lot of high performance driving and demo runs on tar stages in Pietersburg though, from January this year when we acquired the RS

Welcome Phillip. Interesting, practicing attorney and forensic expert? So are you doing your own reconstructions or do you testify as expert for other attorneys ?

Welcome, you see, even if you can afford any vehicles, you still own more Toyotas, well done! That GT3 is one of only a few vehicles i'll swop a Hilux for.
