Hoppy is relocating

Post by Family_Dog »

... to Gauteng!!!

This is great news for us up here, he has family up in Gauteng and for some reasons which he will state himself, he feels it would be better for his health and business up here. Seems that folk who stay down where the wind blows and the icy rain falls are prone to Asthma attacks but this is a rarity up here.

Congrats Allan, we will see you soon. I am looking forward to the day!!

Sorry Capies, your loss is OUR gain! :)

Welcome to Civilasation, Allan! :)

We wish you and your family good luck and happiness Allan. At least we know it would be rather easy to start your new business there, as being part of the furniture on the Hilux forum you already have clients waiting for you.

You see now!! How can anybody move from Klerksdorp to Pretoria? Our traffic too soft for you?

And what if Hoppy opens up in Klerksdorp... :celebrate: :celebrate: :celebrate:

Anyway, let's all wish Allan the very best for the future, seems he is already fully booked and he does not even have premises yet!

Don't joke Oom Eric, the trffic from Doringkruin down to Goudkop primary in the mornings can be like Zambezi drive at times.

No probs if he goes to Klerksdorp, I'm there once a week :D:

Antonie, I had the misfortune of travelling the N12 towards Meiringspark on a Friday evening about 18:00. I sat still at Frank's Corner for three robot changes. This sort of thing should just not happen here.

Enough of this - I don't want to discourage Hoppy! ;)

Hmmmm ..... you have opened an emotional can of worms here Eric. What we seem to have now is a situation where there are expectations form north and south and Allan is torn between the two to the point where he has voiced indecisiveness. The Colesburg suggestion seems like a fair solution .... only one problem .... nothing to do there and Allan will miss the after work (and during work) gatherings / visits with a few ales thrown in here and there.

Solution. East London is also equidistant from the WP and Gauteng, coastal but without the cold, moist Southeasters so no asthma problems ..... a lot more to do and photograph here than Colesburg, some nice rugged Hilux terrain on our doorstep (not mine dumps) and plenty gasvry, friendly tweetallige mense!

Think about it!

Good luck with the move Allan! ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

True Eric, but there's more than enough Luxes here ..... and besides, Allan's only 2 or 3 steps away from retirement  , so why re-locate again later. :D:
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Guys, it was all a bit of a Worker's Day joke - 1st May :)

But we're still working on a plan to get Allan to relocate here - look at all the business awaiting him!

Sorry if we got the Capies all worked up - it was the Devil that made us do this!

Jy gan dit geniet hier. Ek het 4 maande terug verhuis van Klerksdorp Pretoria toe.

Hehehe...ek's ook van K'dorp af, toe Pta toe, 9 jaar PE toe en nou weer terug in Pta. Platan laan is net so erg soos Zambesi!
