KZTE fuel pump

Post by sasafaris »

My high mileage KZTE needs a fuel pump overhaul, and the only crowd here is Durban who do this are wanting R10000 to do this.
any suggestions? or is this a standard price for this kind of service repair

R10000 is less than the R14000 Bosch quoted me to repair mine. (although they charged me R1400 just to quote)

I found a second hand imported pump for R2000 (From people who uses import KZ-TE's in conversions and replaces the pumps with mechanical pumps). It fits 100%, I only had to use all the sensors from my old pump. It works like a dream.

Found a guy in the junkmail, but can't seem to find his number. This was in December last year.
I'll try to find the number in my telephone bill.
You could try this guy: I see he's closer to you.

I just Paid R11000 to have mine done. Second best price I could find. (Had a funny feeling with the “best priced” people)

Some places that I Phoned charged up to R24000, So R10 000 seems a fair price.
