what to buy?

Post by diederik »

Hi guys, my name is diederik, and I am new here. I am about to buy a hilux D 4x4 single cabin. It is going to be my working horse for i am going to built a lodge in Mozambique. So it has to be a strong baby! I want to buy the old model, like 10 upto 15 years old. Because it will have to be easily fixed when broken (in moz.) Any of you out there could advise me witch year/engine model i buy best?? Next week I will drive to Joh.Burgh for this mission.
Thank you!

10 to 15 years old puts you into end SFA beginning IFS range.
Joice is between 2.7 petrol or 3l diesel on the IFS range.

Hi and welcom!!!

What hiluxes are readily availible in Moz? buy according to what you know will be fixed easily. For example, if there are few 3L running around you will have a little problem there.

Hi.
Maybe you should look at a 2.5 D4D Vigo 4x4. You can get them from 120k upwards.
In Moz I will only drive with Diesel.Petrol is to expensive

I am also in the market for a Hilux.
What price is reasonable for a 2005 2.7l with 150000km with canopy and one owner?
Any advice.

FSH? One owner doesn't necessarily mean looked after ..... dependant on the condition, about 120 - 130k.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
