Booing Zuma

Post by Harold »

Booing Zuma.
How embarrassing for South Africa! Instead of booing vote him out.
Well done Bishop Tutu – who told the crowd to have discipline.

If we had to put the best of South Africa’s prime Ministers/Presidents at a round table with only six seats - who would it be?
My nomination is Janie Smuts, HF Verwoerd, FJ De Klerk and Nelson Mandela.
But that’s only four? At this point in time I think they are the only four that qualify.

Verwoerd? Not sure I agree with that, but I do the rest, as they were all for unity.

Harold we can only hope that THIS was the event that marks a change in the current regime - one where the masses DO raise their dissatisfaction ....

in time this may spill over to the vote, but not soon ....

Harold, it would only be embarrassing if it turns out that nothing changes in voter's paterns. I personally think it is magnificent that the entire world has seen what we think of this man. As far as I know it is the first time an ANC president has been booed by his own people. (claims that it was a small group of EFF supporters is bull, even Vavi commented on how large numbers of ANC-t-shirted people were booing)
Mandela would have been PROUD of those booers..."if the ANC does to you what the apartheid government" etc. These people have shown a (unexpected to the ANC) political maturement and have chosen to show the entire world that they will no longer sheepishly follow and do as the chief says. They excersised their democratic right. Madiba would have been proud. (especially as the victim was zooooma).
I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.

It is a matter of respect. The crowd has no respect for Zoooma, and they showed it. Respect is earned, and Zooma didnt earn any during his term in office. Embarrasing? Maybe, but it shouldnt be to us, only to Zooma. For me it was a display of public disapproval of Zooma and display of freedom of expression... Imagine that happening in PW's days? The SADF would have been in there in a flash cleaning up the boo-ers...

We must also not forget that the crowd could have been quoted "out of context"... favourite ANC defence...

The booing is not the worst embarrassment, the worst thing is that the very same people that boo-ed him will vote for him next year, just as stupid as the Zimbabweans.

The boo-ing of Zooma must have been very embarrassing for the ANC. They will still vote ANC regardless the leader, hopefully the ANC get the message.

I'm not one to discuss politics but I do keep an open mind, my daily wish is that people wake up and show anc how they feel by voting. It's no secret personally I hate Booma (Zooma) cos I think he's an idiot and has no respect to South Africans. Will I vote for him? NEVER! Will go for anyone that wants to take South Africa forward - black, white or pink.

I'll say this again - we have a lovely country run by idiots! And it is sad.

Thumelo I have a question for you
It's no secret personally I hate Booma (Zooma) cos I think he's an idiot and has no respect to South Africans. Will I vote for him? NEVER!
If the ANC gets a better leader, will you vote for the ANC again?

Have you guys seen the article of the guy who did the signing who did no international signing, ie he is a fake and cannot sign?
Just look at the peechas, don't he look like one of Malema's cousins?
I think that story is even a bigger insult than the booing of Pres Zero

What is sad to me is that we have lovely people in South Africa who feel like Thumelo feel, but they are not allowed to vote for who they want. They get intimidated and bribed and the big bad wolf will burn their houses down if they do not vote for the cANCer. They were promised a democratic country but they are still far from Democracy, those poor people in the townships.

In Chinese if you say NO to somebody, you say Boo

I thought it was a very nice word and wondered if the Boooing of somebody originated from the Chinese language

So those people said NO to Zuma
Translate it, sounds good, you hear the name Zuma and you go Nooooooo, nooooooo.

Some great ideas and great things said. I do however pray that we can somehow find a "REAL" God fearing man who will stand in as president, with the ability to minimize corruption and increase the concept of an rainbow nation. When looking at South Africa and its path since 1994 we are falling into a irreparable state and one that only GOD will be able to restore. This recipe for disaster is boiling over and we need to have a huge change. The problem is that, if I have to be truly honest, I don't see the answer in any of our current available leaders. I must agree that not even David himself, who arguable was the greatest human king ever, was flawless, thus finding the best candidate and not a perfect one is the answer. This rich country of ours has so much potential in not only its recourses but its people as well. We need to find common ground and that is JESUS CHRIST. I have taken note that 1991 the Zambian President has openly dedicated Zambia to the Lord and it seems that the current president is following the same trend.

"Dedication of Zambia to “The Lord Jesus Christ”
The late President of Zambia, Frederick Chiluba, during his inaguration in 1991 dedicated the nation of Zambia to the Lord Jesus Christ. He stated that Zambia would be “a Christian nation” governed by the “righteous precepts of God’s holy law”. He further went on to say, “I submit myself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ” and “I submit Zambia to the Lordship of Jesus Christ”. During this speech the crowd cheered as Zambia was dedicated to Christ. Through the providential hand of God we have come upon an old VHS tape of a portion of this speech. We have digitized it and uploaded here for you. You can watch a nation being dedicated to Jesus. "

The world bank wrote the following about Zambia

"Independent since 1964, Zambia has experienced five successful multiparty elections since 1991. The peaceful general election held in September 2011 further strengthened the country’s democratic credentials and underscored the country’s enormous economic potential grounded in its rich endowment of natural resources that include abundant land and water."

I think the emphasis must be on " "REAL" God fearing man"

Correct if I am wrong (it was long before my time) but wasn't Voster and Verwoerd Christians?.
Did they not open meetings by first reading from the bible?
Look at how they treated their fellow men? They treated their fellow men like pigs. Is that what the bible told them to do?

If one look at that as a solution the emphasis must be on " "REAL"

Worse Pieter, they used the Bible to justify their actions... But this is getting us deep into a another debate... Zuma and his cronies got what they deserved at the memorial service. And in my humble opinion we are going to see more of the same in the future... Problem is there is no "real" leader on the horizon who can take over to sort this mess out... Everybody is in it for themselves at the moment..

Me thinks they must get rid of all these old farts because they all have this huge struggle in their minds. I see yesterday Mbeki said something like it is a complex situation because it is a new type of struggle. I mean what the hell are they still struggling for. Is the ANC leading a struggle against the ANC. They are in charge for 20 years now but they still struggle.
If they can get rid of this damn struggle mentality the people of South Africa can start to grow.

Interesting, the interpreter is under investigation for fraud (a true anc member) and he held a co worker hostage at some stage.
How is that for security? He was arm length from Obama, will USA ever trust SA to send their president here again?

The minister claim they do not know the guy and they used the agency purely because they charge R800 per day and not R1700 per hour for their service.
Lies, lies, lies, typical anc and they think the world is as stupid as their followers and must believe their lies.

Have you guys seen the article of the guy who did the signing who did no international signing, ie he is a fake and cannot sign?
Just look at the peechas, don't he look like one of Malema's cousins?
I think that story is even a bigger insult than the booing of Pres Zero
The anc now is not the anc pre apartheid, no I would not, unless if that someone promotes the welfare of all South Africans, deals with corruption and poverty and basic human rights. But as a people we then also have the responsibility to be good citizens as much as we can, I hate the dependency traits of my people, I.e. free electricity and so on, not because I am rich but in all honesty some are out there the milk the system, in turn milking me who is trying to keep a job and be honest and pay my taxes without making a noise, hope that answers you Pieter?

Yes Thumelo it answers my question, thanx

Thye dependance not only worries me because the leaches consume our money, it is also a very poor mindset that has been created during the past 20 years. A mindset of I have no responsibility, it is somebody else's responsibility to provide to me. That is a mindset that WILL keep all of those people poor for as long as they have that mindset . And for as long as they are poor and believe the anc (NOTE the omitian of the capital letter, they are not worthy of capitals) will provide, they will vote for the anc.
It is crucial for the anc to keep their people dumb and poor, otherwise they will have no votes.

Thus the anc want to keep them in that state which means they will forever be leaches who demand everything and we will forever have to supply.

Guys, I think this topic has pretty much been covered.

The sad fact is that racism has been reversed. There are just different rules being applied today.

Unfortunately, the uneducated masses are easily influenced. Three months before the elections government jumps in and repairs the roads in the townships, puts up a few toilets, builds a few new houses and voila - they get the votes (and of course remind them exactly how bad the white man is). I cannot see reconciliation taking place under these conditions!

Personally I couldn't be bothered what colour the ruling party is - as long as they REALLY have the country's best interest at heart. It is my opinion that there is no such thing as an honest politician - they all have their hidden agendas.

I just hope that someone steps up before it's too late!

As long as we don't share the same set of standards - we will always have a problem!
Aint it ironic that "Common Sense" aint so common after all...

Of course they don't! .... And the idiotic masses will believe them too!

The following is speculative, but food for thought. Note that this was written on 30/11/2013 or 01/12/2013 ( 16 days to go to 16 December - and about a week before the announcement of Mandela's death).

Even in former President Nelson Mandela's death, the ANC denied this great statesman a natural and
dignified passing away, because the timing "did not suit them". The knew they could not show the
many world leaders and thousands of VIP dignitaries what they had done to SA over the past few
years, so they needed time to do some window dressing first. This is what I shared many days ago,
and people said: "Just a conspiracy theory". Now we know why the Ysterplaat Airshow was cancelled,
and why all military leave for December was cancelled: (also read this:
http://www.bdlive.co.za/opinion/columni ... nmandelas-" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
death) ANOTHER CONSPIRACY THEORY? - MAYBE. MAYBE NOT! STILL IT'S INTERESTING
READING: Team ALARM has been of the opinion that Nelson Mandela, for all practical purposes, died
quite a while ago. For months not one person came forward to say that they saw him. We do
however have reason to suspect that he is kept alive by machines, but that for all practical reasons
he became brain dead several months ago. There are a several indications that his death might
officially be announced very soon. The funeral of this very popular statesman will attract dignitaries
from each and every country in the world. Up to now, the home town of Nelson Mandela, near
Mtahata, could not have handled a state funeral of this magnitude. In 2009 Mthata was declared a
“Rapid High Impact Presidential Intervention Node” and a serious effort was started to improve the
transport, roads, electricity articulation and water provision in the greater Mthata area. The new
extended runway at Mthata airport was taken into service recently and the upgraded roads and
electricity infrastructure was completed a month ago. Everywhere that important people and tourists
might drive or move has been upgraded and repaired. Even some of the gravel roads have been
extensively repaired and re-topped. Together with the new roads, bridges and electricity, there are
also new petrol stations, hotels, and the Nelson Mandela museum that all looks so shiny and new
and very stylish. The Government is of course denying that any of this has anything to do with the
potential funeral of Nelson Mandela. The Government insists that it is all part and parcel of the
normal infrastructure and development project run by the benevolent ANC government, to the
benefit of the people of South Africa. We have to admit that the effort to improve the Mthata airport
has been a long running effort that has bungled along since 2008 but has failed to materialise any
tangible results, due to the normal combination of corruption and ineptitude. That all changed rather
drastically in 2012 when the improvement of the Mthata airport became a rapid development
project. The project's “Environmental Management Plan” (EMP) states the following very plainly in
its introduction: “This is a special circumstances project and it is understood that this project is being
undertaken for the provision of infrastructure for the landing of aircraft at Mthatha Airport for a
special circumstance which is of national importance and is related to the former president.” Point
2.2 on page 8 of the EMP under the heading “Motivation for use of the proposed borrowpits” the
following statement is made: “The Eastern Cape Department of Transport proposes to undertake the
construction of a new runway at the Mthatha Airport in the Eastern Cape. This is a special
circumstances project and it is understood that this project is being undertaken for the provision of
infrastructure for the landing of aircraft at Mthatha Airport for a special circumstance which is of
national importance and is related to the former president.” On 22 November, Zuma went to inspect
the improvements and repairs in the greater Mthata area and tried to gain as much political mileage
as possible from it. Basically all the political elite went to see if the place looked good, and they were
apparently quite impressed with the way it displayed. Not all readers may realize that Mthata is only
31.3km from Qunu, the Eastern Cape home village of Nelson Mandela and the place where his
funeral will take place. All the developments in the greater Mthata area also included Qunu and it is
only a 30 minute drive on the lovely new roads to get to Qunu from Mthata. Then on Wednesday 27
November the SAAF command cancelled the bi-annual Wheels and Wings show at the AFB Ysterplaat
unilaterally and without any good and valid reason. Many people are seriously hacked off because a
lot of time, effort and money has already been sunk into the event that was due to take place on 7&8
December. The unexplained cancellation of the show is busy creating a lot of PR fallout. On Thursday
28 November the head of the SANDF cancelled all leave of all military personnel for the December
period. No reason has been given. Team ALARM also became aware of large military convoys that
will be moving from Pretoria and Bloemfontein to the Qunu area shortly. We have however not been
able to verify this information yet. Should it happen that Mandela's death is announced officially, the
timing could not have been more perfect for the ANC. Mandela's funeral would attract more interest
than the soccer world cup, and everybody from Obama to the Pope would probably attend his
funeral. Such a spectacle would go a long way in getting pressure off the ANC generated by the
Nkandla scandal and the pending split of COSATU. Additionally it would be very, very beneficial to
hold his funeral on 16 December that is already known as “Day of Reconciliation” which happens to
be on a Monday this year. That means there is a very handy reconciliation long weekend appearing
on the calendar in 16 days that can be used to absolute maximum benefit. The fact that Nelson
Mandela the movie also appeared this last week, handily provides the cherry for the cake. The
opportunity is just too good to pass up and we wonder if the Government will really let it slide by
without making use of it? Will we see an official announcement of Nelson Mandela's death in the
next few days? It certainly looks like we are heading that way. We will only be sure when we hear the
official announcement, but will not be surprised at all when we do.

How embarrassing for South Africa!
In my opinion the biggest embarrasment is the fact that the 'leader' of this country
- can barely read the speeches that are written for him
- is blatantly incompetent in matters of governance
- has been accused of corruption on several occasions
- has been accused of rape
- made the abovementioned charges disappear
- has seven (?) wives
- has no sense of responsibilty
- uses taxpayers' money like a personal piggy bank

The list goes on

I think it was high time that people's opinions of this idiot were heard. This vocal uproar was not an NPA report that could be snuffed by Zuma and his fellow mobsters
Nothing is impossible - it just costs more
