Imported D/C bin

Post by simonbruton »

All you pre '91 Double cab owners with the imported bin - can you still get tail light lenses for them? (bin with the tail lights either side of the tailgate) Anyone bought them new recently? Where and how much?

Thanks

Finally found a supposedly rust free '89 D/C, hoping to close the deal soon.

They are exactly the same as the Toyota Stalion and some of the hiaces.

Not the same as the hiace, hiace is a longer light, but its identical to the venture.
you can get them at MAB in sandton wynburg area, i bout for mine, was R65 each last year, comes with globes, wires, plugs.
not sure the price this year.(taxi spares helps keeping cost down sometimes, he he)

Thanks for the help, good to know they are still available.
I have been looking for a D/C hilux for a month or two now, I seem to come across more 1989 models than the 91, 92, 93 era models? Production figures would be interesting, perhaps it is just that owners of '92 era dont part with them! Every 1989 model I have found for sale in KZN over the last 2 months is rotten with rust - sad.
