So got two SMS's today

bank wants to send all statements via email ...

another provider, same story .....


what would YOU consider as safe and secure enough for private financial emails ....

I've been receiving my statements by e-mail for a really long time now. Your mail is just as safe as your mail service provider..
Your postal mail is only as safe as the person putting mail in your mail box. I have received many pieces of mail in my postal box addressed to other people with their correct addresses written on it. I'm sure that my mail has ended up in other boxes in turn.
e-mail is at least guaranteed to be delivered to YOU.
with the postal strikes currently it's either e-mail or no-mail . I'm about to cancel my post box.

I dont have a private email address.


bit paranoid about a g-mail account for this stuff .....



so the question is what email provider wont cost me an arm and a leg, yet do the job for these emails ....

Accessible from anywhere in the world, eg. gmail, yahoo. etc.

does FNB offer email addresses ??

I know ABSA did at some stage ... now wondering if FNB does ...

I do receive all my mail via email for a very long time, were forced to do it way back in 2011 as there were no post boxes available at the time. No issues what so ever. I save them in a personal folder in outlook, very convenient. The only company that did not want to send the bill via email is Woolworths but if I want a statement they do send on request.

Chris ek self het twee web based email adresse en het nog nooit probleme gekry nie. Maak net seker jy gebruik 'n oordentlike wagwoord... dit is daar waar die veiligheid 'n issue kan wees.

Who's your email provider?
If you use Vodacom or MTN, you can subscribe to their email.
Most ADSL providers can also provide you with an email address.
You'll have to find out if CellC and h8ta also provides email addresses.

Ek het ook al baie lank 'n gmail rekening, en het ook nog geen probleme gehad nie. Soos Cassie se, die password, hy es die ding. Myne is 'n sinnetjie wat iets se, seker 24 karakters lank en met spesiale karakters ook... gebruik afrikaanse woorde die Singapoerse laaities verstaan dit nie..

Jy kan jou email client so opstel dat jy die state dadelik aflaai op jou rekenaar en van die mail servers delete, dan is dit nie op die web as iemand dit dalk sou kon regkry om jou account te hack nie.. Private email si ook net so safe soos jou service provider, my teamoffroad account was al gehack... So alles is so safe soos jy dit maak..
