die 5 de Maart vertrek ons weer Angola toe en spesifiek Quito om 3 van ons Olifant tanks roepsein 52 , 53 en 12 A te besoek , 53 is opgespoor in Menongue en dit wil voorkom of hy terug gevat is quito toe staan gemaak is onder n afdak 12A en 52 le nog in die mynveld Met die hulp van Halo ens is ons toestemming verleen om tot by tanks te gaan en dan op n begeleide toer na nog ander interesanthede te gaan kyk

en so is ons terug van Angola af...was n baie harde trippie agv die reen en dan was dit boonop maart maand die maand wat ons tanks verloor het in quito so hulle was ons in daardie omgewing bietjie nie goedgesind nie ons het darem uitgekom by ratel 72 en n kruis daar opgesit , net die bood skap van Lt. Meiring se moeder af terug nou het dit alles die moeite werd gemaak

Dit is darem jammer my fotos wil nie oopmaak nie. Ek was 1982 of 1983 daar. Baie harde bene gekou. Sal wat wil gee om weer daar n draai te kan maak.

Ek sien oom Jan Slabber se trok is ook in die prentjie, julle het mos lekker sport gehaad met die Cotton Soil op die trip. ;-)
