diff repair update on hilux ifs kz te

Post by Rickybobby »

Diff almost done.
After getting several quotes I took it apon myself to repair the diff
The local diff and gearbox parts guy, Eddie was very helpful
For the following parts . New planetary and sun gears, carry bearings, wheel bearings, seals etc etc wasR3500. Not pirate parts.
Ps.crown and pinion is fine.
Put it all together and ia running well
About 5000km later
Now with all that done there is a slight play on the crown wheel.so i need to open up and set the back lash.this is done by shims ans with simple instructions from Eddie it should be not be too hard.
So ja.if you don't trust the local mackie do it yourself.
