Bridgestone 4x4 Challenge 2017

Hi all,
Its that time of the year again to enter the Bridgestone 4x4 Challenge. If you like to test your skills and capabilities of your 4x4 and have a lot of fun at the same time!
There are a number of guys from the club already interested in competing. There are four qualifying rounds that you can enter, we have decided to enter on the 18th Feb.

You can also go on any of the other qualifying day and not just the 18 Feb......

For those that have not registered yet, please do so urgently.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE ENTRANCE FEE OF R350.00 , WHICH IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY. There are no additional entry fees should you make it through to the next round.

Please go through this and make sure that you comply. Last year they were quiet strict on things like oil leaks, loose batteries (including 2nd battery) and fire extinguishers that were valid.
I see that they are not too specific on the contents of medical and recovery kits. Just don't rock up there with a box of Elastoplast and grandpa headache powders, that's not going to cut it!
As far as recovery kit is concerned, the usual applies. Rated shackles, rated tow strap, gloves etc.

For those wanting to camp over next weekend, Guthrie has asked that we book with Wolwekloof.

Camping is free but its on a first come first served basis. No electricity at the camp.

Just an update from Bridgestone posted on FB:
To all the competitors for Bridgestone 4x4 Club Challenge QF 1, Date 18 Feb:
You will receive an email today with the arrangements:
For the Qualifying events, there will be a cash payment on the day of R 350, this needs to be paid during registration on the day of the event.
Registration open 7Am - 7-30Am
Drivers Briefing 7:30Am
Fire Extinguishers must be serviced and a valid 2017 date. If you have bought a new one, please check the dates on them, some shops are selling expired units.
Batteries are fastened correctly !!

Can I also have a show of thumbs who will be camping over.
