Kompetisie aangebied deur Hilux 4x4 Klub
Aandag alle klublede, forumlede en nuwe lede. Hilux klub gaan hierdie jaar 'n kampioenskap aanbied in Oktober 2018. Daar is drie kategoriëe waarin mens kan deelneem,
• ervare bestuurder wat sonder navigator sy hindernisse moet voltooi;
• beginner wat sy hindernisse moet voltooi sonder navigator indien moontlik;
• en dan die vroue-afdeling wat ‘n navigator mag hê.
Op die oomblik is daar drie provinsies wat gaan deelneem, nl: Gauteng, Weskaap en Ooskaap. As daar enige ander ander provinsie is wat belangstel, kan hulle inval by die bogenoemde provinsies of as hulle genoeg mense het om hulle eie provinsie onder die klub se vaandel te begin en so hulle provinsie kan verteenwoordig, moet hulle net die moderators op die forum vra vir hulp.
Aan die einde van die provinsiale uitdunseisoen stuur elke provinsie vyf van sy beste bestuurder (ervare), drie van sy beste beginners en twee beste vrouens. Hulle sal dan hulle provinsie verteenwoordig by die kamioenskap wat in die Oktobervakansie sal plaasvind.
Gauteng streek het alreeds die eerste van die beplande vyf uitdunne gehou. Elke streek kan besluit hoeveel uitdunne hulle gaan hou maar nie minder as drie per seisoen nie. In Gauteng se geval word net die beste drie uit die vyf uitdunne gebruik. Dit werk so, jy kan aan al vyf uitdunne deelneem maar net jou beste drie gaan bepaal of jy deurdring na die kampioenskap toe. Alle provinsie volg presies dieselfde reëls wat dan ook by die kampioenskap toegepas gaan word. Hierdie reëls is ook van toepassing op die beginners en vrouens.
Twee voertuigklasse gaan toegelaat word by die ervare bestuurders naamlik:
a) Gewone standaard voertuig tot en met 'n maksimum van 50mm lift. Bande nie groter as een duim bo die standaardbande nie. Standaard "diff-lock"
b) Gemodifiseerde voertuie - voor en agter "diff-lock", "crawler transfer case" en enige grootte bande. Dit sluit ook Jeeps in.
c) Voertuig padvaardigheid sertifikaat en bestuurlisensie is 'n vereiste.
Dus mense, raak betrokke waar ons ons voertuie kan uittoets, jouself toets en nuwe mense kan ontmoet. Kom ons doen dit en kyk waar dit ons heenvat. Al is jy nie deur jou provinsie gekies nie, kan jy nog steeds die kampioenskap bywoon, saam kampeer en lekker tye by die geleentheid geniet.

Attention all club members, forum members and new members. This year the Hilux Club is presenting a championship in October 2018. There will be three categories to participate in:
• experienced driver who needs to complete obstacles without the aid of a navigator;
• beginner who needs to complete obstacles without the aid of a navigator if possible;
• and then the female division who may use the aid of a navigator.
At present three provinces are participating, namely: Gauteng, Western Cape and Eastern Cape. If other provinces are interested, they can simply join the present provinces or if they can get together enough people for their province under the club's banner and represent their province this way, they can ask the assistance of the moderators on the forum.
At the end of the provincial heat season each province selects five of its best (experienced), three of the best beginners and two of the best women. They will represent the province at the championship that will take place during the October holiday.
The Gauteng region has already had one of the anticipated five heats. Each region can decide how many heats they want to have, but no less than three per season. In the case of Gauteng only the best three out of five will be used.
In other words, you can participate in all five heats, but only your three best results will determine whether you qualify for the championships. All provinces follow exactly the same rules, that are also applied at the championship. The same rules apply to beginners and women.
Two classes of vehicles are permitted for experienced drivers, namely:
a) Normal standard vehicle raised to a maximum of 50mm. Tyres no larger than one inch above standard tyres. Standard diff-lock
b) Modified vehicles: front and rear diff-lock, crawler transfer case and any size tyres. This includes Jeeps.
c) A roadworthy certificate and driver's licence are mandatory.
Come on people, get involved and test your vehicle and yourself and get to know new people. Let's see where this takes us. And even if you have not qualified for your province, come and join us at the championships. You can enjoy the vibe, come and camp with us and be part of an enjoyable day.
