Brake booster substitute

Post by Люк »

Hey fellas I have a 1997 ln 165 H (Japanese) Pickup.

Working through all the 25 year old problems and can’t even drive it now because of a faulty brake booster.

Digging around the part has been discontinued, some of the suggested sites (mega zip) from the parts forum don’t have the part either.

I found several similar parts online for other hilux models and am wondering if anyone can suggest a suitable substitute. It’s a RHD but that shouldn’t matter for a booster right?

Pn# 44610 3D 720 Is what I’m trying to find/sub.

Thanks,
Luke

You can replace with the booster from the KZ shape. If memory serves correctly you have to drill one or two new holes for the mounting bolts against the fire-wall. You would also have to use the KZ type master cylinder ... the old one wont fit the booster. Braking is also improved a bit by doing this (it's a bigger capacity / bigger diameter cylinder).

If you do this then if you like to, you can upgrade the front brake rotors and calipers to the KZ ones that are a straight bolt on.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Welcome!

Try https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/genuine/locate?c=Toyota

The part number you gave is not correct.

Start with the engine VIN number on partsouq and then search from there on.
