Hi guys. Been a while. Everybody still good?
Question: Has anyone fitted a 1GR-FE to a SFA and is it even possible?

Anything s possible with the right tools (big hammer). :laugh2:

If you're considering fitting one to the '86 hilux, forget it ..... unless you really want to empty the bank account. The torque and power is way too much for the old drive train. You would have to replace it all and then what do you do with the front axle??

A better option is the 5VZ (also V6) but they're out of production for some time already and one has to think about the availability of spares. However, one still has to replace the drive train up to and including the diffs. The old KZ diffs can handle that motor if one doesn't get too wild.

Time for some contemplation and re-consideration.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
