KZTE clutch

Post by WESKUSKLONG »

I need some advice on what aftermarket or heavy duty clutch to install on my KZTE because nothing seems to last.
if even tried the genuine Toyota clutch.
The problem is not the clutch that slips but the springs in the clutch plates collapse and then make an very irritating noise.

Some info on the vehicle to get an idea.
2001 Hilux KZTE with 260000km's.
Front mount intercooler with modified turbo downpipe from Francois @4xLux
Front and rear ARB lockers installed.
4" Procomp lift kit with Ironman rear heavy duty leaf springs & Old man emu torsion bars.
2" bodylift
33x12.50x15 Mud terrain tyres on 10j mags.

If anybody can point me in any direction where to get heavy duty clutch.

Afaik the clutch is 260mm in diameter?

The first Kd also, but then upgrade to a 272mm.

Iirc the 272mm can be fitted but the flywheel needs to be machined. Ask Francois, he should know, otherwise Alan.
