Gauteng - AAWDC Fun day 15 August 2009

We are looking for 10 vehicles to enter the competition for the AAWDC Fun day on 15 August and represent the Hilux4x4.co.za Club. I will send each participant a free Large Hilux4x4.co.za forum sticker.

Here are some details about the events

The AAWDC together with a hosting member club hold an annual Interclub Fun Day. The fun day is a family, fun event that is held to promote interclub relations, assist with the marketing of the recreational 4x4 industry and to help raise funds for the AAWDC. Member Clubs and Associate Members are invited to create obstacles relative to the terrain of the chosen fun day venue. The participating Clubs and Associates then put together a team of 10 vehicles to tackle the various obstacles. The obstacles will incorporate elements of fun and driving skill and will require full concentration from both the driver and co-driver. The fun day abides by the AAWDC Code of Conduct, and requires that all participants drive responsibly and promote the safe and responsible use of their all wheel drive vehicles. The AAWDC has together with the input from its Club and Associate Members, compiled the Interclub Fun Day Rules.

The AAWDC Funday will be held on Saturday 15 August 2009. It will be held at the Four Wheel Drive Club Of Southern Africa's clubhouse called Base 4. Base 4 is situated 800m off the R511 in Doornrantjes.

We wish to thank the Four Wheel Drive Club Of Southern Africa and especially their commitee for making this venue available for us.

The entry fees for this year is R150 per vehicle. A limited number of camping spots are available at R100 per site, including Friday and Saturday night. Only 20 campsites are still available!

14th August 15:30 – 17:30 Registration and Vehicle Scrutinizing
15th August 05:30 – 07:00 Registration and Vehicle Scrutinizing
Drivers Briefing 07:00 – 07:15
Committee meeting 07:15 – 07:30
Times to go to starting points 07:15 – 07:45
Starting Time 08:00
Photo session for participates: During the day
Time schedule: See reverse side of Program
Conclusion – all obstacles closed 16:30
Each club to clear their obstacles
Grievance and complaints 17:00 – 17:30
Prize Giving 17:45 – 18:30
Braai 19:00

Apparently the following clubs already committed to enter (I will send our commitment as soon as I know we defenately have 10 vehicles which will join)

As far as I understand we as club first have to get at least 10 vehicles to commit. Those will be people who will know for sure they will be able to make it and not pull out before the time. Then as soon as we have ten commitments we as club have to register for the event and pay R150 per vehicle.

So for now we first have to see if we can get at least ten vehicle owners who will commit.

As julle sukkel om die 10 plekke vol te kry sit my ook in.
Waarskuwing, my hopalong is "stock standard" so as julle beter voertuie kry om die club te gaan verteenwoordig sit hulle eerder in(wil nie die club se naam * maak nie).

Ek het al 'n paar challenges in my ex landy gedoen, dit sal die eerste wees in my toyforanouta.

Ek het in al die chalenges as individu deelgeneem, so as ek nie te wel gevaar het nie was net ek te blameer en ek blameer myself nie maklik nie(vrou doen dit genoeg).
