Rebel 4x4 Rock Crawl 5 September 2009, Moegatle
Rebel Rock Crawl 2009 – who said ‘crawling’ couldn’t be extreme?
When it comes to extreme off-roading, nothing comes close to the sheer exhilaration of the South African Rebel Rock Crawl event. And to add to the excitement, the Rebel 4x4 Team has decided to host this event at Moegatle – a rough-and ready course with obstacles ranging from technical tiptoeing to foot-to-the-floor action.
On Saturday, 5 September, 4x4 enthusiasts will be treated to a four-wheel spectacle where drivers will push their vehicles to the limits in three different categories. The Production Trucks will start the proceedings on the Gymkhana Speed Trail, usually accompanied by a roaring applause from the spectators. The Modified Class won’t have to wait long for their share of the dirt, and they’ll be followed by the roar of the awesome Super Trucks. Every challenge promises to have onlookers in amazement, whether it’s witnessing drivers lending each other a hand by pushing vehicles back on their wheels, cheering co-drivers on when they run after spare parts and tyres, or simply cringing when the machines start crushing boulders.
The course at Moegatle guarantees to test every driver and vehicle’s ability to the maximum. And our dedicated team of marshals will ensure that every safety measure is in place the make this day an accident-free success. The tight-knit Rebel team is proud to invite young and old, 4x4 fans or not, to come and join in the fun, because they know, it’s not what you drive, but how you drive it that matters!
So come kick up some dirt with us and bring the whole family to the next Rebel 4x4 Rock Crawl at Moegatle on 5 September 2009. You can contact Lukas on 082 765 3418 or email events@rebel4x4.co.za for an application form, or visit www.rebel4x4.co.za for more information. Entries R200-00 per truck.

Did you have a lekker day, Mark
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Great stuff .... it's really lekker when one can attend things like this as a family and everyone is entertained, having a nice outing. Some women-folk are'nt in the least interested .... glad that you and Mark share this interest. My vrou is happy to get out and walk when things start looking even mildly rough .... but she's happy to go along for the outing or trip .... does'nt share the passion though.

I must say, I have had some hairraising experiences with Mark, but afterwards it seemed not to be so bad. Atleast I know what he, his bakkie and the fortuner can do. I trust his judgement.

Cool! 8 ) .... I used to be a bit too daring with Swambs along .... now she thinks that discretion is the better part of valour .... still does'nt trust me nor the vehicle capabilities. But then she had a bad experience as a child in a rolling car.

Re: Rebel 4x4 Rock Crawl 5 September 2009, Moegatle
Mark recommended a 4X4 course for me last year, when we bought the Tune, which gave me a lot more confidence when travelling offroad as well as assuring me of the vehicle's capabilities. He also got a good laugh at his wife stalling........ the vehicle, as I was a nervous as hell.
But I managed in the end...

That of course goes a long way .... Sheridene has a medical history as longas both my arms, and has never driven a vehicle .... that's already a disadvantage, but we cope :D . Glad you all enjoyed the outing.

Dankie vir daai fodies Mark...
Moet sê die eerste paar obstacles was nie te moeilik gewees nie maar die laaste paar...
In die produksie klas was daar 14 voertuie waarvan net 3 nie Hilux's was nie.
