On a recent trip to the Caprivi we stayed at a place called Kalizo Lodge just south-east of Katima Mulilo. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip, not only because you can camp right on the Zambezi River, but because a massive colony of Carmine Bee-eaters breed close by between August and November each year. Visiting these colourful birds is a MUST for any birders and especially wildlife photographers. Read more on http://www.kalizolodge.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Beautiful area ... know it well!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Very nice place and very good for tiger fishing. It is an island in the rainy season. Would like to stay there again on the planned Namibia outer rim trip in the next year or two.
