Re: Body Lift On a Fortuner
I would think twice about lifting the body on a Tuna. They did have their instability issues so I don't know if this will make it worse. Do a decent lift on the suspension that will increase the clearance under vehicle which is more critical IMO. If you want to lift the body increase the track (widt...

A Power Flow exhaust gives a 3-5% gain at the wheels with out doing a chip. It definitely frees up some power and helps on the fuel economy side.

Not needed. Dicktator already has cold start compensation. It adds a %age fuel depending on the temp of the motor. You may need to tweak it as you go along but it works fine

Hi, this feed comes directly out of the ecu. I would recommend you enlist the services of a qualified autolec or alternatively if you feel it is within the scope of your skills I can send you the wiring diagram. But the proper way is to check the feed coming out the ecu with an oscilloscope. If the ...

Did you know: By drilling out the rivets holding the hooks, inserting a 20mm spacer and then bolting them up with 8mm bolts you will have enough space for a tapered 100lt water tank. I will be getting one in next week for this mod so will take some pics and post 'em

The rail is just a rail or a reservoir as such. It has pressure sensors in that are manipulated by the power box so that it increases the rail pressure thereby increasing the fueling and the power. Did they erase the fault codes and then recheck the system and the parameters for the injectors? I hav...

Re: Maybe SFA not best for my needs?
Keep the 4x4. My little guy loves the bush and 4x4ing whether overlanding or doing obstacles. The 4x4 gives you the opportunity to make it a family thing and you can choose just how far you want to go. I get my guy behind the wheel to steer and let him venture (slowly) through the bush. Going to a 2...

Re: d4d 3l loss of power under load
There are numerous things that could cause the problem. Check or get checked the following: 1. injector leak off checked 2. EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve. This should shut off under load and if it sticks open you loose exhaust gas energy through the turbo thereby loosing boost 3. MAF (mass a...
