Favour from an SFA owner
Hi there
Can someone please scan (at nice hi-res) the little panel that sits behind the ventilation controls? I want to fix mine (it has holes in) but they are like hens teeth. So I'm going to get a sticker printed and stick it over the front.
Thanks in advance

My dashboard is currently in spares so wil scan it for you. Must tell you it is a bit yellowish due to age. But I wil also try and trace it in Autocad and make a pdf drawing of it.

Re: Favour from an SFA owner
Guys, be very careful of this panel, it is extremely brittle. When we did Bulldog's EFI conversion it somehow got broken. Much to my joy, I was able to order a new one from Toyota, can't remember the price though.
But it would indeed be great to have one that a person can print on black vinyl or something, so please load it on the forum.

Re: Favour from an SFA owner
Okey gents we need to brainstorm. Wil there be a way to double layer this sticker. So that we can have the white, blue and red on some sort of transparent colour plastic with a black vinyl around that. Reson being so that one can stil benifit from the back light. Something like that old treprojectors prints with the black vinyl over it.
While we are resolving the matter we might aswell do it properly and have a few spare ones made up.

Re: Favour from an SFA owner
Layering is really simple with vinyl. You will have a white back sticker and a black one placed on top of it. The back light will shine through the white. I would however suggest that a 2mm clear piece of perspex cut to the correct size form the backing. then you just stick the sticker on top.
I recently redid the 3.0 kzte sticker on the back of my bakkie. I don’t have a tailgate any more but rather a full door. The lettering has a black edge round the red. That edge is nothing more than a full black sticker underneath the red.

Johan, that looks brilliant! Probably end up stronger than the original as well, which was very brittle.
