Ordering Toyota parts from Japan
Hi Guys ,
As for like most of us certain times we can prefer genuine parts . Is South Africa like same as Australia . I find can get genuine part like one third of price by ordering from Japan . Is good if you don't need part straight away . Same for you guys .

We have a company called Gemini in JHB who import parts directly from Japan at much lower cost.

Re: Ordering Toyota parts from Japan
I haven't yet ordered OEM parts from overseas, but would be interested to.
Although, I think, shipping costs may be much greater from Japan, than from the USA
Do you have a website you order from Russell?

Re: Ordering Toyota parts from Japan
Thanx for sharing.
I quickly did one check, fuel injector for my 3RZ with them is USD120 - USD158 = ZAR1440 - ZAR1896
Is about the same price as Gemini
If you add courier plus 20% import duty plus 14% VAT to the price, this web site's price will exceed the price one get it locally for.
All vehicle parts and accessories you pay 20% import duties on.
So if import above USD120 product the landing cost VAT included will be about ZAR1969.92 per injector plus for a set of 4 injectors the courier will be roughly R500 to R700 plus custom clearance fee at courier is normally about R180.00.
Thus if you add all up a USD120 product you will land for R2140.00 .
Sorry, I just always get carried away about how exiting one gets when you see a price of USD120 and thin it is a great bargain until you start adding up the cost and then realize what the true cost is when you import it.
But if one have to find a part you cannot get in the country I will surely look at this.

Re: Ordering Toyota parts from Japan
But lets do some more spot checks, maybe I just choose the most difficult component.
Does anybody have a 3.0 D4D injector product code and a vin number, then we check and see.

Re: Ordering Toyota parts from Japan
I believe the OEM injectors are made by Bosch or JECS or Nippon Denso for Toyota, what if you search by one of their part numbers?
Has anyone used AliExpress or Ebay to obtain parts like these?

Jip, burned my fingers twice on injectors on AliExpress, they send you nice clean re manufactured ones.
Denso refuse to sell to other companies.

Nice find! Great pity about Toy-DIY having to suppress their images but this one works well.
