Hi guys,
My 2005 Hilux 2.7i heater cable came loose - not by the switch but where it connects behind the glove box.
It is the cable that control how much warm air comes into the cabin.
Have taken the glove box out but for the life of me I cannot see where it must hook in.
Can one of you guys give me an indication where it goes?

Bit out of focus, crummy phone. If you look closely you'll see where I cabletied it back up onto the hook. Pics taken from passenger door side.

Here's where it unhooked as a result of the cable coming loose in the center below glovebox (where I cabletied it back up)
Excuse the furballs...

Re: Heater cable came loose
If your's came loose on the other end... Eish. It runs up towards the top of the dash on the left hand side of footwell behind glovebox, cannot see where it goes...
Also, this is on the KZ, 2005 (IFS)
Hope this helps....

Re: Heater cable came loose
Definitely will and thank you for the pics - really appreciated.
Now at least I have an idea of what to look for lol
I agree - luckily it did not come undone by the switch but by the lever that adjusts it.
Could not see any lever as the concept behind it seems straight forward and I were feeling around, at the back of some of the units, but not knowing which one is the heater unit.

Re: Heater cable came loose
The cable is so long so I were sure that it hooks in somewhere behind the glove box - so I basically stripped all and still could not find it.
So I looked somewhere else
At the bottom behind the center console. In plain sight eish!!!
No need to remove anything and because of its placement somebody must have dislodged the clip that holds it in place.
