De Wildt 4x4 & Social GTG weekend - 4 & 5 June 2011

Winter has finally arrived and it is time to seek up the sun in the Magaliesberg Mountains!!!!

Let do a family 4x4 day at Dewildt 4x4, it is a nice and relaxed trail with a challenging section for those wanting to challenge their vehicle's and driving skill. Also Lots of game to be seen on the trail and nice photo's to be taken at various spots along the route.

WHERE: Situated on the R 513 between Pta North & Brits
GPS: 25°40'10.2" S

COSTS: 4x4 Game Trail - R 190-00 Per vehicle including 2 people
Additional People R 50-00 per person

WHAT TO BRING: Lots of Humor, braai grid, chairs, food, snacks, camera's, video Camera's and anything else you might need to braai afterwards. Also those wanting to stay over there is various options available.

ACCOMMODATION: For those wanting to stay over, the options are as follows:

Moenie worry nie, sy het al klaar vir OOOMS by Chloorkop verduidelik hoe sake daar uit sien, dis nou toe jy so effe gesukkel het daar oor die klip randjie, sy't gereken dis oor jy nie diff lock het nie

Ja ek wou sukkel daarso en dinge met die roofrack het net nie so lekker gewerk nie, was klaar te top heavy na my liking gewees, anders sou ek dalk weer getry het.

Ek wil net my dagboek by die huis raadpleeg dan sal ek ook join.

Ek weet verseker dat daar twee klein vergaderinkies is wat nie in die koue gaan oorslaap nie so ek sal seker net vir die dag kom en die aand terug ry na die social.

Gaan sommer vir Edwin (wat my voorgespring het en die Blou Hilux gekoop het) saambring. Sal hom ook sommer vandag aansê om die forum te join.

Ja nee dis lekker warm die kant vd berg...koudste hierdie week was so 0.5 grade opppad werk toe, maar by die huis was die koudste maar net 3 grade...

Dit is lekker warm, ek sien elke oggend -3 as ek werk toe ry op die temp gauge. En in die Garage is dit so 4 in die oggend as ek inklim in die kar....

Most enjoyable...small convoy of 2 SFA's & 1 IFS 4x2 that went almost everywhere we did

I would like to appologise for the delay in getting to the GTG report and pictures but time has been having the better side of me...

The Day started out with everybody getting there on time, some earlier than others but neverless we managed to start the trail early. Later during the day other people arrived in their own group of play vehicles but I managed to see that they still were eyeing the 2x SFA's that so easily walked up the crossaxle obstacle's........

I would like to thank John & Kenneth for offering me and Kerry space in their vehicles during the day.

Specific thanks to John who kind heartedly allowed me to play a bit with his SFA in some places...and also allowed Kerry to drive some of the easier obstacles....

The people that was part of the fun was Kenneth, John, Stefan, Lezel, Saskia, Kerry & Myself. 0000MS soon to be oupaarrived after the event but still managed to have a good kuier before heading home....

The obstacles was not to challenging but just enough fun as to allow plenty of pictures and also a lot of stopping and chatting while drivers swopped places and redid some of the obstacles.

The new rocky section proved to be layed out for Toyota Hilux'es 4x2 & 4x4 alike as they all completed it with no sweat....

Thank you very much to all the guys and girls that made the effort to join us on a relaxed and social day out. It was fun meeting new people and putting faces to the Forum names....
