Trails you want to do

Post by Ali3n »

So the reason I am starting this topic is because there are so many of us who like to do trails but might feel that we always do the same tails over and over. I would like to find out which trails you would like to do and see if we can put them on the calendar for next year.

I have 2 possibly 3 planned so far but venues need to be confirmed before I post them The one will be for the training (Still awaiting feedback) and the other might be a ladies day depending on the interest. The third will be a surprise but I can assure you that it will be a big task to put it together, Only 2 others know what it is. :shh:

Place your comments and your suggestions here so we can discuss it.

Hi Ali3n

Al trails that we have done before, I either enjoyed them so much I want to do them again, or I missed them -

Bass Lake (Done it by myself before - Loads of fun and great water traps)
Berakah (Missed it)
The Toyota Club one - Cannot remember the name now (Did this one with the club and it was a lot of fun!)
All time favorite - de Wildt - But only if Cassie go with! And last time we ran out of time and we didn't do the top mountain part.

Looking forward to what else get's added!

I've done many trails, and some well known ones like RdW I haven't done, but that will change next year...

The ones that I really enjoyed was Korrannaberge, De Wild, Berakah, Serendipity and Moegatle. then there is 3 Provinsies that I couldn't do because of a broken crown wheel & pinion but seemed great.

I see serendipity is receiving a lot of interest so guess what... Its in for next year.

Now for a date. My plan is to arrange a small thing for Feb as Jan is not a great time for an outing as cash has taken a knock. March we have RDW and Rhino so what you guys think of late April early May? A weekend thing?? I possibly have a sponsor for a prize or 2 as well... :yahoo:

Serendipity is a very nice trail. Have done it before. It is a very long scenic trail, +- 30 km. in the beginning not much obstacles but it gets better as it goes, a lot of water riding especially at the river part, it gets quite deep, so l suggest vehicles with snorkel, l did it without a snorkel but at one spot l had to take the escape route as the water was to deep, more than waist deep. Water was starting to come out on the sides of my bonnet. But still what an adventure.
